Manchester City Council Directorate for Adult Services, was carrying out consultations on a new direction for providing services. I was commissioned to work with adult users of social care services in Manchester around the developing theme of 'a life, not a service.' Working with a number of groups of people through photography to provide a voice on what their identity means to them, the places and people that are significant. This is a sample of some of the work produced by the participants, presented alongside some of their portraits.
